Happy Birthday to Me!

Had an early birthday celebration on the 24th of November with da "Murdoch Gang", as Rina and Wriston were flying back on the 25th. After much frustration about choosing a restaurant for dinner, I settled for Japanese food at Matsuri!

I am so dead.....

Exams are over.

I should be happy, but I'm not.

Why? Because my last paper was a total killer!

During the 10 mins reading time, I flipped through the paper and read all the questions.

There wasn't a single question that I was truly 100% confident that I could answer.

I looked at Agnes and Brandon and saw them shaking their heads too.

There goes my transcript. I had hoped to maintain my so-far-all-Distinctions-except-for-fucking-Econs-which-had-a-Credit transcript.

I only hope for a Pass for this paper and I will be happy! PLEASE LAH!! Let me at least pass can!?

Sigh.. the funny thing was, while studying for the exam, I understood everything I read in the textbook perfectly, but when it came to the exam, the frickin questions were so difficult! I hope everybody does badly, and the lecturer has to moderate the scores. *prays*

Dear God, I don't ask for much, just let me pass this paper and I will be satisfied!

I love and miss you so very much

The 10th of every month marks another month that my beloved Pepper has left me. To date, it has been 8 months since I last saw her. Looking back now, the memories of the incident are still fresh in my mind even though 8 months has passed, it somehow still feels like it happened not that long ago.

They say 'Time heals all wounds'. I agree. It took me about 6-7 months for the gaping hole in my heart to heal. I may have looked happy on the outside, but when night falls, I always say a little prayer for her before I go to bed. Not a single day goes by where I don't think of her. Every little thing reminds me of her. It used to be worse during the first few months. Just the slightest mention of her or her picture would bring tears to my eyes, and I would cry myself to sleep everynight.

But, I've come to terms with her leaving me, it was long and painful, but I've done it. I know that she is safe and happy in her little doggy heaven, awaiting the day when I will join her, get to kiss her, smell her doggy smell and get to hold her in my arms again.

The lyrics to the song 'Goodbye for now', playing on my blog. The words are truely meaningful and are words which portray my exact feelings when she left me.

Goodbye for now

I can’t believe that you’re really gone now.
Seems like it’s all just a dream
How can it be that the world would go on
When something has died within me
Leaves will turn, my heart will burn
With colors of you
Snow will fall, but I’ll recall your warmth
Summer wind, breathing in your memory
I’ll miss you

But there will be a time
When I’ll see your face
And I’ll hear your voice
And there we will laugh again
And there will come a day
When I’ll hold you close
No More tears to cry
‘Cause we’ll have forever
But I’ll say Goodbye for now

I can’t imagine my life without you
You held a place all your own
Just knowing you were beneath the same sky
Oh what a joy I have known
On rainy days, in many ways
You’ll water my heart
On starry nights I’ll glmipse the light
of your smile
Never far from my heart

You’ll stay with me
So I’ll wait…for now

BBQ on Saturday, Scootering on Sunday!

Had a BBQ at our place on Saturday. People who attended: Agnes, Kelvin (Chef), Bran (Assistant Chef), Colin, Felix, Erina, Sherlyn, Wrissipoo, Mr Browne and Me!

Thanks to the wonderful chef, we had a sumptuous BBQ with some delish seafood. There were baked Kilpatrick oysters, Sambal stingray, HUGEASS Tiger prawns and the usual BBQ foodstuffs --> Chicken wings, Crabsticks, sausages and last but not least, there was sparkling chilled Brown Brothers Moscato! Agnes & Kelvin introduced us to yummy dessert, Baked Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice-Cream. My stomach was exploding by the end of the night. *grin*

I have to say that I was a little apprehensive about the oysters (due to a very bad experience I had when I ate raw oysters), but Kelvin assured me that if they tasted raw, I could smack him! haha

Bran had never eaten a single oyster before in his entire life, so I let him be the guinea pig first. He ate one.... then another one...... then yet another one......
So.... I decided to try one too. Surprisingly, they didn't really taste like oysters at all, guess it was because Kelvin baked them, added lotsa bacon bits and squeezed lotsa lemon juice on the oysters thus masking the fishy, raw oyster smell that I dislike. But I still stopped at one oyster...

The beef was specially marinated by Kelvin, and they tasted REALLY, REALLY GOOD! The Sambal Stingray was also prepared by Kelvin and it tastes exactly like sambal stingray back in SG! Yummy!

Woke up early this morning to go Scootering at Freo. Colin rode alone on a red Mini Harley, Kelvin pillioned Agnes on a black Mini Harley and Bran pillioned me on a blue Scooter! hahahaha. We all wore 'Bomberman' helmets and rode around Freo looking silly.

Stopped at Freo Markets for lunch. Bought crepes (recommendation of Agnes) then walked around Freo markets before settling down at a food court outside to eat our lunch. After leaving the food court, some ang moh walked up to Bran and asked him where he bought his tee from (bran was wearing his McShit Tee). Very attention grabbing tee, if I might say so.. haha

After lunch, we rode to a secluded parking lot so that Agnes and I could try riding the harleys and scooter on our own. I was terrified when I tried. The stupid scooter was wobbly and I couldn't balance properly. But I succeeded in riding it in the end! Woo Hoo!! Great accomplishment for a scaredy cat like me who refuses to even practise driving. hehe

I tried the harley next...... and got hooked! It was so fun!!! I kept going round in circles in the parking lot and refused to stop riding it.. vrooom vrrooom! Yes, I noe I look cock in the stupid helmet. -_-

For your info, renting a scooter or mini harley in Freo costs $29 for 4 hours (which is damn long) and if you're above 21, extra insurance charge of $5. Rather reasonable price for a fun experience!

p/s: Mel, lets go when you come here for your holiday with Jikai! It will be fun!
