I Heart Tourmaline

My new best friend, the S6001 Remington Salon Pro. She is one HOT babe! She can withstand up to 200 degrees celcius and comes with Ceramic + Tourmaline + Teflon technology. She is my new hair straightener. *grinz*



This little baby here offers 3x more protection against hair damage, her ceramic plates lock in moisture, tourmaline ionic reduces static and frizz and the teflon coating prevents sticking. She has digital touch controls and unlike normal hair straighteners, she has a high heating function of 200 degrees celcius (gives out steam like those used in salons for rebonding).





I LOVE this little baby, and she is mine all mine! hahaha. For those of you who use hair straighteners and are unsatisfied with the results, dump them and get ones with TOURMALINE technology! If it does not have TOURMALINE, you can forget about getting silky smooth straight hair. I have tried it and I absolutely love it. My hair looks rebonded and feels silky smooth too! This is the first time I have purchased a hair straightener and was totally satisfied with the results! Next, I wanna get a curling iron.... heehee

This gem cost Bran (hehe, he bought it for me) only $79.95... I was surfing eBay for hair straighteners with Tourmaline technology and they all friggin cost abt USD$100 to USD$200++ for the really good ones. I was elated to find this at only $79.95! Apparently, the hair straighteners used in salons to give you your silky rebonded locks use this same Tourmaline technology too, the only difference is they have that rebonding cream or watever to make your hair poker straight for 6 months.


I also got Lauren Weisberger's (bestselling author of The Devil Wears Prada) latest book, Everyone Worth Knowing!
And C.S Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. Bran bought himself a pair of LEVIS jeans for only $57, actual price was $99.95! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price. Thanks baby, for a great day today, and for my new fantastic hair straightener!

One of my favorite childhood movies of all times. Labyrinth is a 1986 fantasy film directed by Jim Henson. Puppets play most of the roles. Two notable exceptions are Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) and the Goblin King, Jareth (David Bowie, who wrote and performed several songs for the film).

Sarah wishes for goblins to take away her screaming baby brother, but when they do she must find her way to the center of a fantastic labyrinth and bring him back. Jareth tries to confuse, frighten and seduce her, but she learns to rely on her own strength and overcomes his power.

My favorite scene of the movie is definitely the Ballroom scene which also plays my favorite song in the movie "As the world falls down" by David Bowie. (It's currently playing on my blog)

I don't know what it is about this scene, but as a young child, this scene inspired such wonder in me even until now, it still does. I guess it has something to do with David Bowie. He exudes this cool, charismatic look which left a deep impression on me. I think he's gorgeous!

Something to look forward to...the movie adaptation of Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha is coming to our cinema screens soon. After the novel was published, Arthur Golden was sued by the geisha he worked with for defamation and breach of contract. According to the plaintiff, the agreement was supposed to be total anonymity for the main character of his story. This was because there is a code of silence among the geisha community and breaking that code is a serious offense. Once the plaintiff's name was printed in the book, she received numerous death threats and requests to commit seppuku for dishonoring her profession. However, she opted to sue Golden for putting her name in the novel. The case is currently under litigation.

Maye visits Harbour Town!

On friday, bran & I brought maye to Harbour Town - The One Stop Shopping Paradise in Western Australia for us galz.

Look wat I found!!! It's a Marc Jacobs Tube Top!!! Guess how much it cost me!




Here's the price tag of my Marc Jacobs Tube Top. I couldn't believe my eyes either when I saw it. Original price: $130. Slashed to: $69. Slashed again to: $49. I know my price tag does not show it but it was slashed once again from $49 to $29! FOR A MARC JACOBS TUBE which was actually freakin $130. omg... Agnes, Maye and I grabbed one each! hehehe.. (I actually wanted to get both colors, red and black.. but I decided on black)




My brand new pair of boots! I have waited like ages to get meself a pair of boots. After seeing Agnes get her pair at $60, I was practically salivating to go out and get meself an exact same pair! But $60 was still too ex for me, so I waited and waited and waited.... And all my waiting paid off! I found this pair at Harbour Town for only....... $39.95! Yipppeee! So happy!!




My last item of the day. A Jay Jay's t-shirt which set me back by $15.. But I like it alot so I decided to just go ahead and get it.




After Harbour Town, we brought Maye to Nandos for yummy flame grilled chicken in Extra Hot spicy sauce! Yummy! Didn't take much pics at Nandos, was too busy eating and talkin to get any taken.




Fetched Maye home and dropped in to see her stash! This is Snuggles, a maltese x something. He's only 3 months old! When he runs around the house he looks like a little furball rolling around.. So CUTE! Had a nasty bite tho, kept jumping onto my lap to bite my jacket and fingers.. hehe... guess he's still teething..



And that's all for Friday.. Maye has left early this morning for her road trip.. can't wait to see her again when she gets back on wednesday and we can go to sunny cottesloe to get some tanning done and more shopping! woo hoo!

Look at all my freakin VS, BBW, Nutrimetics etc..... and makeup......... Sometime I think I'm mad..... How will I ever finish using all of that! And that's not even 1/4 of what I still have at HOME in SG.... omg.......... (thx to may for the pretty arrangement... we were too bored so we decided to take everything out and arrange them nicely!) wahahahah

Maye came down to Perth for a holiday and also to surprise Bran who was totally shocked to receive her phone call this morning.

Went to pick her up for dinner from her uncle's place and we went to Hog's Breath for yummy yummy steak!

Perth Royal Show & Asia Cocktail

Friday was a super duper busy day for me. Firstly, we went to the Perth Royal Show.
